Every Karaa runs the same removable battery and the same app. Start with a kit for a bike you already own, or take a bike with the kit already fitted. Same warranty either way. Pedal assist up to 32 km/h.
Start with the bike you have
A kit turns an ordinary bicycle into an electric one. We fit it, or you do. Both kits use the same app; the difference is the battery and how far you go on a charge. Prices are in Ugandan shillings; use the toggle for US dollars.
Karaa Lite
The short-range kit. For shorter daily runs, city and last-mile work, and tighter budgets. Up to 60 km on a charge from a removable bottle battery. Fits almost any 26-inch or 29-inch bicycle.
Karaa Range
The long-range kit. For all-day work, longer routes and heavier daily distance. Up to 120 km on a charge (50 to 100 km in real-world use) from a removable 522 Wh battery. Fits almost any 26-inch or 29-inch bicycle.

Karaa Buffalo
The workhorse, electrified. Buffalo Bicycles builds the Buffalo for World Bicycle Relief with one brief: big loads on tough roads. Heavy-duty steel frame, a rear carrier rated to 100 kg, and parts a village mechanic can service. Our system is compatible with every Buffalo model.
Karaa REF
REF is the bike brand of Sawan India Overseas, a Ludhiana manufacturer exporting bicycles and parts since 1999. Our system is compatible with REF bikes, and we convert two models: the REF fat bike, whose wide tyres shrug off rough ground, and the REF MX01 hardtail, with Shimano gears, hydraulic disc brakes and a suspension fork. Choose your REF, and we quote and convert it for you.

How far can a Karaa bike go on one charge?
Up to 120 km on a full charge, with 50 to 100 km typical depending on load, terrain and motor use.
How much can a Karaa bike carry?
The rear rack carries up to 100 kg, enough for milk cans, crates, delivery bags or a passenger.
Can I electrify a bicycle I already own?
Yes. The Karaa conversion kit fits most standard bicycles, so you keep the frame your riders know and lower the upfront cost. You can also buy a complete Karaa bike.
Is the battery removable and how do I charge it?
The battery is removable, so you can charge it indoors from a standard socket and swap it without moving the bike.
Is the bike under warranty?
Yes. The bike is built to last and backed by a written warranty.
How do I control the bike?
You set assist levels, track the ride and keep the bike secure from the Karaa app or the Bluetooth display.
