What we fit to your bike
A 250 W brushless geared hub in the rear wheel. It helps whenever you pedal, up to 32 km/h.
36 V, 14.5 Ah, 522 Wh. It locks into a mount on the frame and lifts out to charge.
Senses your pedalling and adds power. Modes for eco, climbing, cargo and manual.
A handlebar display, plus the Karaa app over Bluetooth: speed, distance, battery, assist and fault alerts.
Our mechanics fit it and service it in Kampala, so a repair never waits on an imported part.

Send a photo
A side-on photo of your bicycle on WhatsApp. We confirm it takes the kit, or tell you what it needs first.

Bring it to the workshop
Our mechanics fit the motor wheel, battery mount, pedal sensor, display and wiring.

Ride it home
We set up the app with you, show you how to charge and swap the battery, and hand over the warranty.
Charge it where the power is
The battery lifts out, so you charge it indoors, at the shop or from a solar system, not wherever the bike is parked. Add a spare and swap it when the first runs down.

In development: we’re working on ways for the same battery to run a water pump or lights off the bike. Not on sale yet.
Control the bike from your phone
Set the assist, see the ride and keep the bike secure, from the app or the Bluetooth display. For Android and iOS.
Report it lost in the app. The next time it connects, the motor is disabled and its position is logged. Full GPS tracking and remote lock are coming soon.
What does your route cost to run?
Move the sliders to your daily distance. We compare the fuel a petrol motorcycle burns on the same work with the electricity a Karaa uses.
Based on about UGX 15,000 of fuel and UGX 700 of charging per 100 km, as reported by The National. Running costs only: tyres, brakes and servicing are extra on both.
Over about 100 km a day, carry a spare battery so you never run short.

Every electric part is covered for one year from delivery, with the limits below. Claims go to where you bought it, or straight to us.

Not covered
Opening the motor, battery or controller. A charger that isn't ours. Loads over 200 kg with the rider, or over the carrier's rating. Riding through flood water. Crashes, fire and misuse. Normal wear: brake pads, tyres, tubes, spokes and chains.
