If you have carried milk, water or charcoal on a bicycle in East or Southern Africa, chances are it was a Buffalo. Buffalo Bicycles, built for World Bicycle Relief, designed it around one brief: big loads on tough roads. Heavy-duty steel frame, a carrier rated to 100 kg, parts any village mechanic can service.
The Karaa system is compatible with every Buffalo model. We fit the motor wheel and the removable battery, and the workhorse becomes an electric workhorse: same load, same roads, none of the grind.
What changes is the day. Hills that forced walking become riding. A 30 km round trip that took a morning takes an hour and a half. The rider arrives able to work instead of spent.

Buffalos are everywhere Karaa wants to be: Zambia, Malawi, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Uganda. If you run Buffalo fleets in any of these markets, conversion is the cheapest upgrade your riders will ever get.
